Biscuit is a 17YO grade quarter horse gelding, though some say he looks appendix. He has been used in the past as an intermediate lesson horse, advanced beginner trail horse, and as a lower level dressage horse. He was relinquished to Ruby Ranch when his owner's riding/lesson business became financially jeopardized. He is about 15.3 and 1150 lbs, easy to catch, trailer loads, and stands for the farrier. Biscuit has an enlarged knee that was probably due to an old injury. He has not been lame because of it. As a precaution, he is not suitable for jumping, barrels or any of the sports that are hard on the joints.
Biscuit is a friendly fellow who gets along well with the other horses in his small herd.
Update - Biscuit has returned to Ruby Ranch. He had been residing in the mountains and it was discovered that mountain life does not suit him. He has an old injury to his knee that flared up when ridden and pastured in the mountains. We think it was following a particularly heavy snow. He is currently sound and will be relegated as a "flat-lander" horse with the preference of easier riding.
