Cindy hooked on with Julie

Hooked on with Irene

Cindy is a 4YO tri-color paint filly.  We were told she was foaled in February 2005 and the equine dentist confirmed this date. She came to us severely underweight and with no hoof care.  As you can see, she gained all that she needs.  Regular farrier visits have provided good hoof balance.  She has a cute face, long legs, and is a friendly pasture mate with the mares, geldings or weanlings. Cindy currently stands at almost 15.2H and weighs close to 1000 lbs. She has had roundpen work, a lot of handling and catches on very quickly.  She can lower her head, disengage hindquarters and laterally flex her neck on cue.  She is also comfortable with throwing ropes over her body and around her legs. Cindy has a good mind and likes people, often the first to seek our attention.  There is a "no breeding" stipulation for our mares and fillies.

Update:  Cindy is Miss Personality.  She is friendly, easy to catch, very smart with her training and looks like she has some room to grow. Cindy stands well for the farrier and gets along with herdmates.  She is ready for her special human to continue training and get her going under saddle.

Update:  Above are updated pictures of Cindy on her first day wearing a saddle.  This was a non-event.  She was tacked up easily and moved from walk to trot and canter with no buck or even a concern that there was something new on her back.

Update:  March 17 - Cindy has just returned to us from her foster home where she has resided for the past two months.  We will begin her "spring training" with the goal of getting her going under saddle in the next few months.
