Dodger's estimated foal date is February or March 2008. We are told that he is half Arab.  Dodger was seized by the sheriff's office due to starvation and you can see that he has recovered completely.  Dodger is halter trained and leads up nicely.  He has been gelded.  He stands for the farrier and trailer loads easily.  He is very friendly, loves attention and has a "laid back" personality.

Update:  Dodger is getting a little roundpen work and has caught on nicely to turning in and hooking on.  As a 3YO he now stands at 15H+ and weighs about 1000 lbs.  He is calm and friendly and a fun horse to work with.  Dodger is pigeon-toed.  It is not severe and the farrier says it will not interfere with Dodger's mobility and he should make a great trail horse.  Apparently several of the top reining horses have been pigeon-toed and it certainly didn't compromise their competitions.

Update:  Dodger is doing ground training and ground driving with Anna Blake, www.annablaketraining.com in Falcon.  This was made possible by a training grant awarded to Ruby Ranch Horse Rescue by the Animal Assistance Foundation of Colorado. Next he will go to Lori Torrini at Deseos Arabians for some training on how to wear a saddle and stand to be mounted.  Not much riding will be done this year, but Dodger will have a "leg up" for the start of saddle training next year if he isn't adopted beforehand.
