Here are some of the horses that are available for adoption.  To get more information on our horses, go to the "Our Horses" page for a complete listing.

Dodger and Riddler: "We're really handsome!"
Dodger says, "I've been adopted!")

Pfaser:  "I'm waiting at the gate for my new home!" (And he found it, Jan. 2010!)

I'm Wende and I need a special human to trust and no boarding facilities!  I'm really well trained under saddle, too, as an awesome dressage horse! (Adopted!)

My name's Montego - Tego for short.  They say I'm pretty fancy and have nice ground manners.  I'll be 2 years old soon and I've been adopted.

I'm Sparky, a mustang pony with a very big mind.  I prefer lots of action.

Adoption Procedure:

1.  Come visit!  See if there is a horse that suits your needs or one that just needs to come home with you.

2.  Fill out the application (Click on the form to the left).  Be very thorough with your descriptions and answers.  If there is more than one application for the same horse, the best situation for the horse will prevail.  We will check references and do a home visit.

3.  We have a rider weight requirement for our horses concerning the amount of weight a horse can safely carry.  It equates to 20% of their body weight.  A 1000 lb horse can safely carry 200 lbs, which includes tack.  However, this will be reduced if the horse is older, has been used hard during its life, or the intended use is a discipline that requires harder work for the horse.

3.  READ the contract!  We are very interested in our horses going to forever homes.  The contract goes with the horse for the life of the horse.  That means there will be phone calls and follow-up visits every so often to see how our adopted horses are doing! This also means that Ruby Ranch is in the loop when and if you need to re-home one of our rescue horses.

Mosa: I've been adopted already!

Lacy:  "I'm trained to ride but I'd love to be a companion horse." And she found her perfect home.

Raina: "I'm new here - somebody want me?" I go well under saddle with someone experienced!

Biscuit:  I need easier rides and I love to be loved on! ADOPTED!
