Although we were told by Ginger's previous owner that she is 3 years old, our equine dentist confirmed that she is a 6YO mare (foal date - spring 2003).  She is a gorgeous bay and stands at about 13.3+ and weighs 900 lbs.  Ginger may have been started under saddle and we have been told that she is calm and gentle.  She is easy to catch out to pasture and is a friendly and curious horse.  Ginger gets along well with our donkeys, Robert and Maddie, but is respectful and friendly with all of the horses in her herd.

Update:  Ginger shows us that she has had roundpen training, but probably no real saddle training.

Update:  We worked Ginger in the roundpen with a western saddle on her back.  Her movement in the roundpen shows some nice extension at the trot and a lovely canter.  She faces up respectfully and comes in for a scratch on the head.  She shouldn't be too difficult to start under saddle.  She trailer loads and stands for the farrier.

Update:  Ginger is currently in training under saddle.  She will be fostered by Karina Lewis and Kirk Stanley in Parker until she is adopted.   Contact her trainers, Karina (303) 501-0966 or Kirk (303) 514-6219 to visit her or for more information. The reports we have received are that Ginger is "Miss Steady" and is suitable for an advanced beginner on up for riding.  She readily crosses obstacles and water, pays attention to what her rider is asking and is just a super little lady.
