Pfaser is a 6YO registered Arabian gelding, foal date of June 25, 2003.  He stands at about 15.1H and is a very friendly horse to both humans and his herdmates, not to mention cute as can be. He was adopted from RRHR in the Spring of 2007 and started under saddle that summer and was used as a trail horse.   Due to his owner's health difficulties, Pfaser was returned to us to find him a new good home.  They have told us that the more he is ridden, the better he gets.  Since he's been standing around for about a year, he needs a tune-up and some consistency in riding and handling.  He trailer loads, stands for the farrier, hooks on nicely in the round pen and has a very friendly personality.

Update:  Pfaser was worked and ridden in the roundpen. We used a western saddle and snaffle bit.  He is responsive yet green under saddle and needs more wet saddle blankets to bring him to his full potential.  He doesn't offer to buck, rear or crow-hop, he just gets a little inattentive, especially when his herd buddy is whinnying to him.  What we noticed, again, is that Pfaser is very willing to please.  He's smart, good-looking and has a good start on saddle training.

Update:  Pfaser went through a pre-purchase exam and it was discovered that he has a small bone spur near the right front fetlock joint.  Pfaser is not lame, but because of the presence of the bone spur, we would not adopt him for endurance, competitive trail or other disciplines that could jeapoardize the area of the spur.  He is very suitable for trail riding.  X-rays available.

Update:  Pfaser is being ridden and trained by Lori Torrini, trainer at Deseos Arabians.  Her assessment is that he is green, calm, willing and smart.  He is out of shape and a little lazy but nothing that more riding won't cure.  For pictures and training updates, go to www.DeseosArabians.com.
