To relinquish a horse to Ruby Ranch Horse Rescue, we ask that your horse be up-to-date with farrier, deworming, vaccinations and float.  If you would like RRHR to provide these services, your donation to cover these expenses would be appreciated.  At times, there may be funds available to help cover these expenses in hardship cases.
Our Animal Donation Information form provides us with all of the information about your horse so that we might pass it on to the new adoptive home.
The Animal Donation Acknowledgment form conveys your wish to relinquish/donate and also serves as your tax receipt.  Click these forms to download or email us at pr@rrhr.net  to request these forms.

At times we may not be able to accept your horse.  We rely on adoption fees and donations to support Ruby Ranch Horse Rescue and contrary to popular belief horse rescues do not receive government funding.  There are times when either space or financial resources are not available.  We will do what we can to facilitate finding a new home for your horse.

We prefer that stallions and studcolts are gelded before arriving at RRHR.  If the studcolt is young enough, we may be able to accept him with your donation to cover the expense of having him gelded.  Front Range Equine Rescue sponsors a grant that will provide partial reimbursement to castrate your stallion or studcolt.  Email Hilary Wood at info@FrontRangeEquineRescue.org and ask her about the "Stop the Backyard Breeder Program."  Or call her at 719-481-1490.

Ruby Ranch Horse Rescue is a 501c3 Non-Profit organization.  Horses relinquished to RRHR may be eligible as a tax deduction to a public charity.
