Scarlett is a 5YO registered Tennessee Walking Horse. Her DOB is April 2005. She is just over 14.3H and weighs close to 1000 lbs. Scarlett is very friendly, trained under saddle, trailer loads and stands for the farrier. We have not yet assessed her riding abilities but were told that an 11 year old girl has ridden her out on the trails. More information will be posted soon.
Update: Scarlett was vet checked, had a routine float and hooves trimmed. She stands well for the farrier and is easy to handle. Because she had been confined for so long, our vet suggested we let her be a pasture horse for 30 days before riding her. She needs to muscle up a bit. We will get her going under saddle in March and post an update at that time. She is an "in your pocket" girl, fun to be around and loves human attention.
Update: Scarlet is fun to ride and prefers another horse along. She picks up a delightful ambling gait and easily goes down into the dry creekbed in and out of trees with no concerns. She needs some consistancy with riding to get her fresh with all the cues. She is level headed and needs her own human to bring her along to her potential.
