Volunteer
Training
Ruby Ranch gladly welcomes volunteers most days of the week.
Please call first (719-541-3642) to be sure that we are here and that the weather is cooperating.  We are particularly in need of experienced horse people to handle and
exercise some of our horses and to help train some of our youngsters but there are always
a number of tasks to do including grooming, mucking and hand-grazing.  Below are
pictures of the fun we have with our horses
and volunteers.

Air Force Equestrian Club:  Ruby Ranch Horse Rescue is the lucky recipient of the services of 13 Air Force cadets from the Equestrian Club. These energetic and fun young men and women, along with Uncle Bob and our volunteers Irene and Debbie repaired fencing, weight-taped and dewormed horses, fitted each horse for a winter blanket and other tasks.  A huge thank you to all who participated in making this a productive and fun day!

Squadron 20 (Tough Twenty Trolls) of the Air Force Academy gave it their all with a number of tasks to help Ruby Ranch winterize. Fifty-two cadets and their AOC, Maj. Neilson, went to work on re-surfacing the stalls, mucking, cleaning the creekbeds, helping to
vaccinate for rabies and painting.
