Wende hooked on with Amy

Wende is an 11YO Oldenburger registered Hanoverian mare.  Her sire is the Hanoverian stallion, Wendepunkt.  Wendy is about 15.3H and has been schooled for first level dressage and an experienced rider can do a half pass with her.  Wende has not been ridden in the past year and will need a tune-up.   She will worry about food if she is confined but we are finding her to be very tolerant of us when out to pasture.  There was some abuse in her earlier years around her being stalled and not fed properly.  She trailer loads and is easy to catch when out to pasture, stands well for the farrier.  Her ground work is solid, she hooks on nicely in the roundpen.  We are finding her to be willing to trust if you give her a good deal.

Update:  Wende is a nicely trained, very sensitive horse under saddle.  She requires an intermediate or better rider with soft hands and quiet seat and legs.  She responds to subtle cues, can be opinionated and a little argumentative at times, but she hasn't been ridden in over a year.  She shows every sign of wanting to trust and bond with her human, wanting to please as well, but you need to be respectful and polite in the ask.

Update:  After spending five months in a new home, Wende has returned to Ruby Ranch.  Wende needs to live at a private home rather than a boarding facility, and needs one human who handles her and works with her to build her trust.  More information will be provided after re-assessment.

Update -  Wende will be evaluated and ridden during March by our wonderful training team, Karina Lewis and Kirk Stanley.  To visit her or to obtain more information, please call Karina at (303) 514-6219 or Kirk at (303) 501-0966.  They are located in Parker.
