Ranch Location and Information

RRHR is located approximately 45 miles northeast of Colorado Springs, just off Highway 24 at 36785 Ramah Road East, Ramah, Colorado 80832 (719-541-3642).

The Ranch has 80 acres of gentle rolling prairie with a half-mile seasonal creek bed lined with cottonwood trees.  The facility includes a seven-stall barn with large pipe runs adjoining each stall and automatic water systems.  There are four loafing sheds in the pastures and a large holding pen for horses that need to be separated for observation.  We use a couple of 60-foot round pens for training and exercise.  Cross fencing with horse-safe, poly-coated high-tensile wire provides the ranch with four large pastures for turnout.  Plans for additional facilities will be completed as funding allows.

To visit Ruby Ranch and the rescue horses, please call to make an appointment.
We are available to welcome visitors most days of the week, including weekends and evenings.  House/barn phone is 719-541-3642 and cell is 303-931-0887.

Visit our "Adoption Forms" page for copies of the adoption application and contract.  Adoption applications are reviewed by our Board of Directors.  We may proceed with a visit to your home or facility where the horse will be boarded.  All applications are reviewed to find the best situation for the horse.  In the case where two or more applications are received for one horse, the application which provides the best situation takes preference.
